Safe Operation of Forklift Training
Safe Operation of Forklift is a critical corporate programme designed to prevent forklift-related incidents such as collisions, tip-overs, struck-by injuries, crush incidents, and dropped loads. Forklifts operate in fast-moving environments where pedestrians, racking systems, loading bays, and vehicle movements create constant interface risk. A single error—excess speed, poor visibility, unstable load handling, or unsafe reversing—can result in severe injury, fatality, or major property damage.
This course strengthens operator competence and site control by focusing on stability principles, safe manoeuvring, disciplined inspections, correct load handling, pedestrian segregation, and safe loading bay practices. It is suitable for warehouses, manufacturing sites, logistics hubs, retail distribution centres, ports, yards, and any workplace using powered industrial trucks.

- Safe Driving Practices: Speed, Turning, Braking, Visibility, and Blind Spot Control
- Pedestrian Safety and Traffic Management: Segregation, Routes, Signage, Spotters, and Exclusion Zones
- Safe Load Handling: Lifting, Carrying, Stacking, De-Stacking, and Racking Safety
- Working on Slopes and Ramps: Safe Techniques, Surface Conditions, and Stability Control
- Loading Bay and Dock Safety: Trailer Stability Awareness, Dock Edge Hazards, and Controlled Movement
- Parking and Shutdown: Safe Parking, Key Control, and Prevention of Unauthorised Use
- Refuelling/Charging Safety: Battery Charging Discipline or Fuel Handling Controls (site-dependent)
- Incident Response and Reporting: Immediate Actions, Scene Control, Reporting, and Learning
