PECB’s ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Management System (LMS) training portfolio is designed for testing and calibration laboratories—and the professionals who lead them—seeking internationally recognised competence to strengthen laboratory governance, demonstrate technical competence, and generate valid, reliable results aligned with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. ISO/IEC 17025 is an international standard for testing and calibration laboratories, structured around two key areas: Management Requirements (the performance and effectiveness of the laboratory’s management system) and Technical Requirements (competence of personnel, methods, equipment, and the integrity of test/calibration results). PECB

Delivered through progressive pathways (Foundation → Lead Implementer → Lead Assessor), these programmes build practical capability to support laboratories in implementing an LMS, preparing for accreditation, and maintaining consistent, evidence-based control over quality and technical operations. Course Curriculum

ECHSE delivers the following PECB ISO/IEC 17025 course pathways: PECB

  • PECB ISO/IEC 17025 Foundation (2 Days)
    A structured introduction to LMS concepts and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. The programme includes a certificate exam on Day 2 and has no prerequisites. PECB+1
  • PECB ISO/IEC 17025 Lead Implementer (5 Days)
    Develops implementation leadership competence to support laboratories in implementing and managing an LMS, with structured coverage from initiation and planning through monitoring, improvement, and accreditation readiness. The certification exam is on Day 5. PECB+1
  • PECB ISO/IEC 17025 Lead Assessor (Typically 5 Days)
    Builds the capability to plan and lead ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation assessments, strengthening assessment leadership and evaluation practice. The course structure includes a final certification exam on Day 5. PECB+1
