The OTHM Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is designed for professionals who are responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of assessment within a training organisation, centre, or learning environment. It builds the knowledge, skills, and practical capability required to operate as an effective Internal Quality Assurer (IQA)—supporting consistent standards, robust evidence decisions, and strong assessment governance.
The qualification is closely aligned to recognised assessment and quality assurance expectations and supports progression into internal quality roles, with competence demonstrated through structured evidence and professional practice.

Level Equivalence: OTHM Level 4 qualifications are positioned as equivalent (academically) to HNC / Year 1 of a UK bachelor’s degree.
This qualification consists of 2 mandatory units for a combined total of 12 credits, 120 hours TQT, and 90 GLH.
